Darbhanga: Dastarak has started, which will run till 29 December 2025. During this period, there will be a cold wave for 10 days and if it rains, it will be considered inauspicious. Dr. Kunal Kumar Jha, Head of the Post Graduate Astrology Department of Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University, said that the cloud holds the uterus in the middle of Dastarak, due to which there is rain throughout the year.
What happens during Dastarak?

Dr. Jha told that during Dastarak there will be movement of wind, thunder of clouds and full duration of winter. He said that Dastarak has importance in astrology, because through it the rainfall of the entire year is analyzed.

Severe cold wave continues in most parts of North India. The Meteorological Department has said that the temperature is expected to drop further in this area. Due to western disturbance, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in some parts of north-west India at the end of the week.

Avoid cold air, stay indoors as much as possible and avoid unnecessary travel. Take special care of children, elderly, lonely and helpless people. Keep advance stock of Aadhar card, fuel, drinking water and other essential items. Dr. Jha told that Dastarak has started from 11:08 pm on 19 December 2025 and will continue till 2:46 pm on 29 December 2025. He said that during this time people should be careful and take necessary steps to avoid the effects of cold wave.
