Under the State Government’s Flower Development Scheme, now farmers of the district can earn good income by adopting flower farming as a business. The process of online application under the scheme has started and farmers of all the blocks of the district can take advantage of it. The aim of the government is to increase the income of farmers as well as promote alternative farming.
The application for Phool Vikas Yojana has been placed completely online. Farmers from any block of Rohtas district can apply for this scheme. With this, farmers will not have to visit offices and will be able to get the benefits of the scheme in a transparent manner.
The special thing about this scheme is that those farmers of Rohtas district who have their own land are eligible, but those who do not have land can also avail the benefits of the scheme by giving an agreement. With this, small and marginal farmers will also get the opportunity to cultivate flowers.

At the time of application, farmers will have to submit necessary documents related to the land. In this, LPC and updated receipt is mandatory. If the name is not clear in the land documents, then genealogy documents will also have to be provided. This arrangement has been made to ensure transparency in Rohtas district.
Marigold Flower Development Scheme has been specially included under the Flower Development Scheme. The unit rate for the cultivation of marigold flower has been fixed at Rs 80 thousand per hectare, on which farmers will get subsidy up to 50 percent. With this, farmers of Rohtas will be able to produce better production at less expense.
Farmers of Rohtas district who cultivate only marigold flowers will also get the benefit of goods vehicle. The estimated cost of the vehicle is Rs 6 lakh 50 thousand, on which 50 percent subsidy will be given. With the maximum assistance of Rs 3 lakh 25 thousand, it will be easier for farmers to reach the market.
Benefits under the scheme will be given on first come, first serve basis. The seats for application are limited, hence the farmers of Rohtas district have been advised to apply in time.
