India has taken a very strong stand on the continuous attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh and the brutal murder of Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh. India has bluntly told the interim government of Bangladesh to stop making excuses and immediately put the murderers of Dipu Chandra Das in jail. Besides, the Ministry of External Affairs has also blasted the false propaganda of Bangladeshi media, in which it was being claimed that there has been a major breach in the security of Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi. India has rejected it, terming it as misleading propaganda.
‘Fraud’ of Bangladeshi media exposed
On one hand, Hindus are being killed in Bangladesh, while on the other hand, the media there is spreading ‘fake news’ against India to hide its failures. Some media organizations of Bangladesh had claimed that the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi was attacked and the security cordon was broken. The Government of India has exposed this lie and converted it into ‘milk of milk and water of water’. Explaining the truth of the incident, the Ministry of External Affairs said, we have taken note of the misleading propaganda material being spread in some media sections of Bangladesh regarding this incident. These claims are completely wrong.
What happened on 20th December?
Giving details of the incident, the Ministry of External Affairs said, on December 20, a group of only 20-25 youth had gathered in front of the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi. These youth were angry over the heinous murder of Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh and were demanding safety of Hindus in Bangladesh. The Delhi Police present there showed amazing promptness and dispersed the group within a few minutes.
No attempt was made to break the barricade
Refuting the sensational claims of Bangladeshi media, the Ministry of External Affairs clarified that at no time was any attempt made by the protesters to break the barricades or create a security situation. India has reminded Bangladesh that it is a responsible country and knows how to follow international laws. The ministry said, India is fully committed to ensuring the security of foreign missions located in its territory in accordance with the Vienna Convention. The ministry also added that the evidence of this incident is in front of everyone, which is enough to expose the lies of Bangladeshi media.
action is needed now
This statement by India has now put the ball in the court of Bangladesh government. India has made it clear that it will not allow their embassy in Delhi to be harmed, but in return Dhaka will also have to fulfill its responsibility. The massacre of Hindus there should stop and the murderers of Dipu Chandra Das should be given such a punishment that sets an example. This “blatant” warning from India shows that now the blood of Hindus will not be ignored in the name of diplomatic etiquette.
