After the opening of the registry office in Raniganj area, the number of registration offices in the district has increased from three to four. People buying and selling land in Raniganj and Bhargama will get a big benefit from this. There will be no need to go to Araria or Forbesganj registration office. There is also a possibility that even if there is no major change in the average number of documents registered throughout the year in the district, there is definitely a possibility that the annual revenue received by the district has increased.
On the new arrangement of the registration office, Kaushal Kishore Jha, the sub-registrar officer of the registry office located at the district headquarters, told Local 18 that Raniganj and Bhargama zone will now come under the Raniganj registration office area. While the work area of Forbesganj Registration Office will include Forbesganj and Narpatganj zones along with Forbesganj, Jogbani Municipal Council and Narpatganj Nagar Panchayat areas as before, Kursakanta zone has also come under the jurisdiction of Araria Registration Office. Whereas Raniganj has been removed.
Total 46,728 documents registered
According to Under Registrar Kaushal Kumar Jha, opening of a new registration office and tagging any zone with another registry office will not bring any change in the total number of documents being registered in the district. A total of 46,728 documents were registered in the district during the last financial year. In which 18,116 documents were registered in Araria office, 15,749 in Forbesganj office and 12,863 in Jokihat. Under Registrar Officer Kaushal Kishore Jha said that after the Raniganj Registration Office becomes functional, it is expected that about nine thousand documents will be registered in a year.
Number of documents to be registered
Due to this, it is natural to reduce the number of documents being registered in Araria and Forbesganj. Kaushal Jha also clarified that there will be no change in the total number of documents registered in the district throughout the year. Nor will there be any decrease in the revenue of the district. There are some such technical reasons. On the basis of which this can be assumed. With the clear jurisdiction of Raniganj Registration Office, there is a possibility of increase in the total revenue of the district.
