Firozabad: The Food and Safety Department has started a campaign to purify the Prasad available at the famous temple in Firozabad, UP. The department is going to the shops around the temple to create awareness regarding the preparation of Prasad and its packing. Laddus were given as Prasad at the temple, in which there was adulteration of colour. Keeping this in view, the Food and Safety Department has also started giving training to traders. A campaign has been started to use recycled polythene and cloth bags for packing Prasad.

The Food and Safety Department has started a campaign to make people aware about the famous Balaji temple located in Shikohabad, Firozabad. Food Safety and Drugs Department official Chandan Pandey told Local 18 that Eat Right India’s department is making traders aware. The shopkeepers here used to adulterate the Prasad available at the temple with colors etc. In view of this, they have started a campaign to make the traders aware in which they are being told that adulteration in the Prasad causes harm to our body.
You will get pure prasad

More than 10 thousand cloth bags will be distributed
The Food Safety and Drug Department official said that after holding a meeting with the traders here, they were given training and then they were also given certificates, after which the traders will know how to prepare Prasad and how to keep the temple clean. Along with this, more than 10 thousand cloth bags are being prepared and distributed to ensure that no polythene is used here. Lakhs of devotees come to this temple for darshan due to which a lot of filth is seen here. The department is making people aware to keep it clean.
