Hindu youth Dipu Chandra Das was beaten to death by a similar mob of miscreants. Deepu was accused of blasphemy. Now the police has made a shocking revelation in this matter. In this regard, Bangladeshi officials have informed that there is no direct evidence that the Hindu youth who was thrashed to death in Mymensingh, Bangladesh, had said anything derogatory that could hurt religious sentiments.

Dipu Chandra Das was brutally killed in mob lynching by a Muslim co-worker in his factory after accusing him of blasphemy. On the night of 18 December, the mob killed Deepu and then hanged his body from a tree and set it on fire on the charge of insulting Islam.
What did the Bangladeshi officers say?
MD Samsuzzaman, company commander of RAB-14 in Mymensingh, told Bangladeshi newspaper ‘The Daily Star’ that no evidence was found to suggest that the deceased had written anything on Facebook that might hurt religious sentiments. He also said that neither the local people nor the garment factory workers could point out any such activity. Company commander Samsuzzaman told The Daily Star, ‘Now everyone is saying that they themselves did not hear Dipu say anything like this. No one was found who claimed that he himself had heard or seen anything hurting religion. When the situation worsened, he was forcefully thrown out of the factory to save the factory.
How many arrests so far?
The officer said that after the video went viral, initially two people were detained in connection with the incident and later on the basis of interrogation, five more people were detained. Apart from this, Mymensingh ASP Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun said that the police have detained three more people and are interrogating them. Meanwhile, the Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA) expressed deep concern over the silence of the international media and community on the violence against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh following the brutal murder of Das. This organization condemned this cruel incident, and warned that Bangladesh is slipping into a state of barbarism, the consequences of which are being borne by Hindus.
