Sahara India Salary: Sahara India Deputy Chief Manager OP Srivastava and Sahara family have been accused of embezzling the outstanding salary. Kolkata’s Arindam Banerjee and his wife Shivani have lodged an FIR for outstanding salary of Rs 2 crore. After working for four years, both of them took six months paid leave, but despite this, both of them remained associated with the online company.
Lucknow: Sahara India in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow is constantly surrounded by controversies. Now a big FIR has been registered against the company’s Deputy Chief Manager OP Srivastava and Sahara family. The case has been filed by Arindam Banerjee of Kolkata, in which it is alleged that more than Rs 2 crore of the outstanding salary of him and his wife Shivani was embezzled. The FIR was first registered at Technocity police station in Kolkata, but later it was transferred to Lucknow. Now Gomti Nagar Police will investigate the matter.
According to the FIR, Arindam and Shivani were posted in the chairman’s office of the company in Kolkata on September 1, 2016. Arindam’s salary was initially Rs 4.40 lakh per month, which was later increased to Rs 5.46 lakh. Whereas, Shivani’s salary was Rs 81 thousand per month. After working for four years, both of them took six months paid leave, but despite this, both of them remained associated with the online company. In July 2022, he demanded his outstanding salary, and in June 2023, some amount came into his account.
It is alleged in the FIR that despite the total outstanding salary and interest being Rs 2.03 crore, Sahara India has not paid it till now. This matter may increase further problems for Sahara India as the company is already surrounded by many controversies and legal troubles. Now Lucknow Police will investigate the matter and it has to be seen when the victims will get their due salaries. Sahara India’s pending legal troubles and outstanding salary disputes clearly show that the troubles for the company are far from over.
