Ramgarh: There was a stir in the Bhurkunda police station area of Ramgarh district of Jharkhand in the evening when the robbers brandished pistols and committed a major robbery. At 7:15 pm, at Vijay Jewellers, located at the tracker stand in the crowded Bhurkunda market, five armed robbers, at the threat of a pistol, looted gold and silver jewelery worth Rs 25 lakh, Rs 2.5 lakh in cash and a mobile phone and fled from the spot. Not only this, during this time the robbers also plucked the wire of the CCTV camera.
As soon as information about the incident was received, Bhurkunda police reached the spot. Along with this, blockade has been done on all the roads. The owner of Vijay Jewelers told that five robbers disguised themselves as customers and reached his shop on the pretext of buying jewelery for a wedding. After entering the shop, the robbers asked to show the jewelery for marriage. As soon as the shopkeepers started showing the jewellery, one of the five robbers went out and pulled down the shutter. Meanwhile, four robbers inside looted all the jewelery using pistols and assault.
The shop owner told that the robbers took away his staff, his mobile phone and some cash. During this time the robbers also fought.
