Koderma: An ancient temple situated in the deserted and winding area of Koderma Valley of Jharkhand is still popular among the people as an example of faith and miracles. The temple of Lord Hanuman and Lord Vishnu situated on the roadside near the ninth mile of Koderma valley on the Jharkhand-Bihar border not only attracts the devotees, but the miraculous story behind it forces everyone to think. This story strengthens people’s faith in the temple.
Truck broke down as no mechanic could start it, this is how a miracle happened
This almost 40 years old story begins in the year 1985, when a Taylor vehicle going from Koderma towards Bihar suddenly broke down in the Koderma valley. The engine of the vehicle stopped completely. The driver and his companions tried to get the vehicle repaired for several days with the help of local mechanics but were unsuccessful. After this, skilled artisans were also called from other districts. Even after this the fault of the truck could not be rectified. This vehicle, which was parked in a secluded area of the valley for almost a month, troubled everyone.
Finally Chhagan Lal Agarwal, son of the vehicle owner, Govind Ram Agarwal (Chaukdiwal), resident of Ajmer, Rajasthan, and his wife Meena Agarwal himself reached Koderma. He also brought experienced mechanics with him, but despite all efforts the engine could not be started. Meanwhile, one night while resting near the car, Chhagan Lal Aggarwal saw Hanuman ji in his dream. In his dream, he got a hint to install a part of a stone lying in a pit on the roadside. The very next day, on Tuesday, March 12, 1985, the stone was installed and worshiped with full rituals. As soon as the mechanic touched the engine after the puja. The truck which was lying idle for months started within a few minutes.
