Gorakhpur: A shocking incident has come to light in Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh, where a mother refused to feed milk to her newborn baby. However, only after the hospital administration explained a lot to the woman, she fed her milk to the child. The woman said that her husband has been missing for the last 6 months due to an affair with another woman and she cannot raise her child alone.
Labor pain started in the train
Actually, Farzana Parveen, resident of Darbhanga district, had gone from Darbhanga to Delhi by train on Sunday. As soon as she reached Gorakhpur on the way, she started having labor pains. Then the GRP personnel present there took her to the women’s hospital. Then at 11 o’clock in the night she gave birth to a child. The child’s condition was critical. His heart rate and breathing were moving slowly. Then the doctor admitted the child to the intensive care unit, where his treatment is continuing.
Husband left me after a few months of marriage
Farzana’s personal life is full of struggles. He told that his parents had passed away. Within a year of marriage, her husband left for another woman. There is no trace. In such a situation, she is unable to nurture the newborn. When the doctors and hospital staff explained to her, she agreed to feed milk to the newborn.
‘I was alone, in pain, then he…’
Regarding the incident, Superintendent Jai Kumari, in-charge of the district hospital, said, ‘Initially it was very difficult to convince the woman. Now she has agreed to keep the child with her. Both mother and child will be discharged as soon as the child’s health improves. He told that till then the hospital staff is taking full care of him and all possible help is being provided. The woman said, ‘When I needed my husband the most. Then he left me. I was alone. She was in pain and could survive only with the help of strangers.
