Raw Banana Dried Vegetable: Raw banana is considered a treasure of health, but often people prepare it by boiling it. Today we are telling you the recipe of such a dry vegetable of raw banana, which tastes amazing and is very easy to make. This vegetable is prepared in minutes and tastes great with roti, paratha or even without any side dish. Raw banana is rich in potassium, fiber and antioxidants, which helps in increasing immunity, improving digestion and controlling weight. So let us know the easy and tasty way to make it-
Ingredients (for 1–2 servings)
2 raw bananas (peeled and chopped)
2 teaspoon oil
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon fennel
1 small green chilli (finely chopped)
1–1 1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
salt as per taste
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon finely chopped coriander leaves
lemon juice as per taste
Step-by-step method of making-
-First of all, peel the raw banana and cut it into medium sized pieces. Wash the cut pieces thoroughly to remove any stickiness present in them. If you want, you can keep the cut banana in water for some time.
-Now heat oil in a pan. As soon as the oil is hot, add cumin and fennel and let it crackle on low flame. When the spices start giving out aroma, add finely chopped green chillies and fry lightly.
-After this add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt as per taste in the pan. Mix all the spices well in oil so that the spices do not burn. Now add chopped raw banana pieces to it and stir well so that each piece gets coated with spices.
-Cover the pan and cook the vegetables on medium to low flame. Remove the lid from time to time and keep stirring the vegetables so that the bananas do not stick to the bottom. If needed, you can sprinkle 1–2 teaspoons of water, but keep in mind that the vegetable should remain dry.
-Raw banana becomes soft in about 10–12 minutes. When the bananas break easily with a spoon and the spices get coated well, then understand that the vegetable is cooked. Now turn off the gas and add garam masala on top.
-Finally add lemon juice and finely chopped coriander leaves and mix the vegetables gently. This adds freshness and slight sourness to the vegetable.
-Your raw banana dry curry is ready. Serve it with roti, paratha, puri or dal-rice. If desired, it can be made with slight changes in fasting also. This vegetable tastes very tasty even when eaten alone and is also very beneficial for health.
