However, the local people showed bravery and caught the three miscreants and handed them over to the police. The villagers beat the miscreants fiercely.

Police have recovered pistol cartridges and bike from the miscreants. The video of him escaping on a bike after the robbery and being caught by the villagers is going viral on social media. An incident of robbery has come to light in Khitaura market of Ughaiti police station area, where armed miscreants looted gold and silver jewelery worth lakhs and Rs 5 lakh in cash from the shop of a bullion trader. Hearing the screams of the businessman, the villagers and businessmen surrounded the three miscreants and caught them.
Robbery by taking Lalaram hostage
Actually, Lalaram Rastogi, resident of Khitaura village of Ughaiti area, runs a moneylender’s shop in the market on Bisauli Sahaswan Road. On Friday evening, at around 5 pm, four miscreants riding a bike entered the shop and held Lalaram hostage at gunpoint. The jewelery worth lakhs kept in the cupboard was filled in a sack. Cash worth Rs 5 lakh kept at the shop was also looted. As soon as the criminals boarded the bike after committing the robbery. The shopkeeper raised an alarm.
Villagers snatched the pistol from two miscreants
Hearing the noise, businessmen and passers-by caught the three criminals who were running away after looting. The villagers also snatched pistols from the two miscreants. Angered by the incident, the villagers and businessmen beat the miscreants fiercely with sticks. After receiving the information, police force from Naraini post and police station reached the spot. The police caught all three miscreants and took them to the police station. After this incident which happened in broad daylight, an atmosphere of panic has arisen in the village.
The ruckus of traders continued till late night
After the incident, there was anger among traders regarding security. The traders reached the road and blocked it and started creating ruckus. As soon as the information was received, police from several police stations including SP Dehat reached the spot. The miscreants were taken to the police station. The commotion continued till late night. The police made everyone understand and calm them down. After registering a report on the accused miscreants, the police have started searching for the absconding miscreant. CCTV footage of the time of the incident has also gone viral on social media.
