New Delhi. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Friday met representatives of a German think tank and shared his views about India’s position in the rapidly changing global scenario. Rahul also addressed an event at the Hertie School in Berlin, where he said democracy is not just a system of government but also accountability.
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Democracy is not just a system of government – it is a continuous process of engagement, responsibility and accountability.’ These days he is on a tour of Germany. Rahul Gandhi also met and discussed separately with former German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
At the Hertie School, the Congress leader shared thoughts on leadership, democracy and global responsibility in a rapidly changing world. Addressing students and academics, he shared his personal and political experiences. Rahul Gandhi talked about the change in power in the world, and also presented his views on the state of Indian democracy.
According to Congress, he stressed the importance of inclusive and equitable education and highlighted the need for stronger global cooperation to address deep-rooted inequalities. Addressing the Indian community at an event organized by the ‘Indian Overseas Congress’ in Berlin, he said that the party stands for truth and defends the truth of India.
