Himachal Pradesh: Himachal government has taken a big decision. HRTC will remove 500 old buses which have an average mileage of less than 2.5 kilometers and are out of order. Also, the buses which have completed their prescribed limit of kilometers will also be removed from the fleet. Besides, the decision to increase the salary was also taken.
Shimla: The 162nd meeting of the Board of Directors of Himachal Road Transport Corporation was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, in which an important decision was taken. In this meeting which lasted for two consecutive days, there was talk of purchasing 350 new buses. After this meeting, the Deputy CM gave this information to the people in a press conference.
Actually, HRTC will remove 500 old buses which have average mileage of less than 2.5 kilometers and which are broken. Also, the buses which have completed their prescribed limit of kilometers will also be removed from the fleet. This decision was taken in the 162nd meeting of the Board of Directors of Himachal Road Transport Corporation held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri. Along with this, many important decisions were taken including approval to fill 171 posts of JOIT in HRTC.
Increase in daily wage by Rs 25
In the meeting, approval was given to salary increase, new recruitment, purchase of new buses and strengthening the monitoring system. After the meeting that lasted for two consecutive days, Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri held a press conference and informed about the decisions. He said that as per the notification of the state government, an important decision has been taken to increase the daily wage from Rs 400 to Rs 425.
Passengers will get better facilities
Along with the post of JOIT, it was also decided to bring the remaining 78 piece meal workers on contract. He said that in order to provide better facilities to the passengers, it was decided to complete the retainer process of purchasing 250 HRTC diesel buses and 100 mini buses within 15 days.
Apart from this, automatic testing stations will be established in Haroli and Nadaun on PPP mode. To encourage employees, a policy of giving awards for excellent work will be implemented. It was also decided to install vehicle tracking system for real-time location in all buses. Apart from this, many important decisions were taken for the convenience of passengers and employees.
