Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) has officially entered the packaged foods segment. The company has relaunched its 75 year old legacy brand SIL and made it the flagship foods brand.
SIL started with a wide product portfolio like noodles, jams, ketchup, sauces and spreads. The brand has been given a new identity, but the original taste and flavors have been retained. Pricing targets the mass market
SIL noodles will be available from ₹5 and ketchup from ₹1. Reliance wants to build scale in the fast-growing market of packaged foods through its strong retail network and pan-India distribution. This will further intensify competition in the FMCG space.
