Tourism businessman Gagan Awasthi said that since December 10, the flow of tourists in Manali is increasing day by day. Now, despite light snowfall in high altitude areas like Rohtang Pass and Shinkula in the past few days, many tourists are getting attracted to come to Manali. In such a situation, these days at least two to two and a half thousand vehicles are being seen every day in passes like Rohtang and Shinkula.
Gagan says that in the coming days, a lot of queries have started coming for the Christmas and New Year season also. He said that since the roads have been improved, now a good tourist flow is coming to Manali in buses also. In such a situation, the booking situation in Manali is expected to be close to 100% during Christmas and New Year.
He told that these days, without weekends, the occupancy in hotels is around 50-60%. At the same time, as soon as Friday-Saturday comes in the weekend, it is almost reaching around 75%. He told that these days more than 100 Volvo buses are coming to Manali from Delhi-Chandigarh. Even in the evening, a good crowd is seen on Mall Road. Even without Christmas, the queries are currently around 70-75% during weekends, and this coming Christmas and New Year, Manali is going to have 100% occupancy.
Tourists are being given discounts in hotels
Hotelier Kittu Thakur said that after the disaster, the tourism business of Manli was also going to suffer huge losses. But after November 15, tourism business started increasing again in Manali. Due to which the hoteliers and businessmen here have got relief. He told that I think that the coming time during Christmas and New Year will be very good for hotel businessmen and the occupancy (booking of rooms in hotels) is also likely to be very good. He told that these days every hotel is having minimum 70 to 80 percent occupancy. This is how the season is going to be in the hotels of Manali from 15th December to 5th January. In such a situation, the occupancy here is also expected to increase. He told that if there is snowfall in the month of January then the occupancy is expected to increase further.
He told that now discounts are also being given in hotels for tourists during New Year and Christmas festivals. In such a situation, 30 to 40 percent discount has been given in many hotels. So that more and more tourists come to Manali.

Former President of Manali Hoteliers Association, Mukesh Thakur said that now the tourism business in Manali will pick up during Christmas and New Year. He told that the way bookings are coming in the hotels of Manali now, there is a possibility of Manali being packed during the time of Christmas and New Year.
Now all the hotels of Manali are ready to welcome tourists. In such a situation, hoteliers have painted and fully decorated their hotels and made complete arrangements for the arrival of people. Mukesh says that to attract tourists, different types of dishes were installed in the hotels here. In which tourists will also get to taste the mountain cuisine. Many types of dance programs and parties are also being organized in hotels to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
