There have been many creatures that have become extinct from this earth over time. But have you ever heard that any creature has returned? Recently something similar happened in America. Here a camera was installed in a forest for research. Then the camera recorded a creature which had disappeared about 100 years ago. The scientists were shocked to see him.
Something happened in a wildlife conservation in Ohio state of America, which surprised everyone. Actually, a wildlife trail camera installed in Cleveland Metroparks has recorded a rare wild animal named ‘Fisher’. The special thing is that this animal has been seen in Cuyahoga County after more than 100 years. According to park officials, this is the first confirmed presence of this species since the 1800s. The video footage was recorded earlier this year, in which Fischer is seen speeding past the camera and even looking at the camera for a moment.

These creatures are very rare
Fisher is a local mammal, which is believed to be originally native to the state of Ohio. Usually it is found in the northern areas of Ohio and likes to live in dense forests. In appearance it is similar to the weasel family and is considered a very agile hunter. Cleveland Metroparks officials have called this discovery extremely surprising. He says that the return of Fisher shows that the conservation efforts that have been going on for a long time are proving effective. This is a positive result of efforts to re-naturalize forests, wetlands and waterways.
This creature had disappeared by the middle of the 19th century
This discovery is also considered important because the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) has placed the fisher in the category of Species of Special Interest. According to the department, by the middle of the 19th century this animal had disappeared from most parts of Ohio. The main reason for this was the rapid deforestation and uncontrolled hunting. At that time, Fisher was hunted on a large scale for fur, due to which its numbers continued to decline rapidly. Besides, its natural habitats also got destroyed due to human activities. Due to all these reasons, this animal almost became extinct from the area for many decades.
