Gonda News: A case of death of a youth under suspicious circumstances has come to light in Gonda. It is alleged that Abhishek Srivastava committed suicide due to continuous blackmailing, demand of money and threats of implicating a married woman and her husband in a false case. At present, the police have registered a case against both the accused and started investigation.
Gonda : The death of a young man under suspicious circumstances created a stir in Gonda, UP. It is noteworthy that the body of youth Abhishek Srivastava, living in Gayatri Puram locality of Nagar Kotwali area, was found hanging in his room. Prima facie the case is being said to be a suicide. According to family members, Abhishek was under mental pressure for a long time. It is alleged that a married woman and her husband were continuously demanding money, blackmailing and threatening to implicate them in a false case. Due to this pressure and public shame, Abhishek took this step.
According to sources, Abhishek was in contact with Sonal Singh, who lived in a locality of the city. It is alleged that Sonal’s husband Ajit Singh was also involved in this entire matter. Before committing suicide, the young man pasted WhatsApp chats, call details, screenshots of video calls and a suicide note on the wall of the room, so that the family could know the reason for his step.
Husband and wife were blackmailing
At the time of the incident, Abhishek had closed the door of the room from inside. When there was no movement for a long time, the police was informed. The city police station and civil line post police reached the spot and broke the door and found Abhishek’s body hanging from the fan. In the suicide note, Abhishek has written that Sonal Singh and Ajit Singh were continuously blackmailing him. It is also mentioned in the note that on September 28, both of them had filed a blackmailing case against Abhishek, due to which the police arrested him on September 30 and sent him to jail. Abhishek returned after being released from jail on 12 October.
The accused were demanding Rs 2 lakh
It is alleged that after being released from jail, both the accused were demanding Rs 2 lakh from him in the name of reconciliation and were threatening to implicate him in a false case again if the amount was not paid. Troubled by this mental torture, Abhishek committed suicide. On the complaint of the deceased’s uncle Uddhav Srivastava, the city police station has registered a case against Sonal Singh and Ajit Singh.
Evidence sent for forensic investigation
Kotwal Vivek Trivedi said that a case has been registered against the accused and investigation has been started. Screenshots of WhatsApp chats, video calls and documents related to money transactions recovered from the room have been sent for forensic investigation. Legal action is being taken after taking possession of the dead body.
