Faridabad: The atmosphere in Haryana this morning was really suffocating. In many cities the air has become so bad that people are not even able to breathe freely. In many areas, AQI crossed 400 in the morning, which directly falls in the category of severe. These figures clearly show to what extent pollution has increased and now it has become a big threat to people’s health.
breathing difficult
The air in most of the cities of the state has either become very bad or has reached critical levels. AQI 362 was recorded in Sonipat which means breathing is difficult. Panchkula is also in a bad condition with 342. The AQI of Bahadurgarh remained between 293 to 313 and in Gurugram the air deteriorated from 185 to 357. Meaning, as the day progressed the air became more poisonous.
AQI in Ballabhgarh remained between 227-319, in Dharuhera it went up to 194-325. The situation in Faridabad, which is very close to the capital, is also not good. AQI remained between 176 to 254. AQI increased from 154 to 344 in Kurukshetra.
AQI was recorded 98-341 in Kaithal, 166-348 in Karnal, 127-320 in Yamunanagar, 139-314 in Jind, 174-307 in Rohtak, 180 in Panipat and 164 in Bhiwani. It was 175-183 in Rewari and 73 in Palwal, which is slightly better than other places.
Relief in Sirsa
There is news of some relief only from Sirsa, here AQI was 48 i.e. the air is satisfactory at the moment, but the situation in the rest of Haryana is really worrying.
Health expert gave advice to people
The direct effect of this increasing pollution is visible on everyone’s health. Complaints like difficulty in breathing, burning sensation in eyes, sore throat and weakness are increasing. Doctors are also advising the elderly, children and already ill people to take special precautions.
Necessary steps will have to be taken together
The reasons behind pollution are also very clear: cold weather, low wind speed, smoke from vehicles and factories, burning of garbage, the air is stuck at the bottom and is not able to go up. Now people have started giving up morning walks also. Children are going to school wearing masks. There is fog everywhere in the roads and markets.
If the situation continues like this then the problem will increase in the coming days. Now the government administration and the common people will have to take some steps together, otherwise it will become even more difficult to breathe in Haryana.
