Share Market Trading: The stock market started well today. At around 9:20 am, BSE Sensex was seen trading at 84,866.06, which is an increase of 384.25 points or 0.45 percent. At the same time, NSE Nifty 50 was up by 104 points or 0.4 percent at the level of 25,926.90.
In today’s trading session, investors will keep an eye on several important global events, including UK retail sales, ECB wage tracker from the Eurozone and balance sheet data from the US Federal Reserve. On the domestic front, investors are waiting for the minutes of the MPC meeting of the Reserve Bank of India and the latest foreign exchange reserves data. Meanwhile, the Bank of Japan has increased its interest rates by 0.75 percent for the first time in the last 30 years.

Asian markets also witnessed a rise on Friday. For the first time since 1995, the Bank of Japan has increased the interest rate by 0.75 percent. Investors were waiting for this for a long time. Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose by 0.56 percent, Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 also gained 0.52 percent in early trade and South Korea’s Kospi also rose by 0.68 percent.

At the same time, Wall Street also closed with a rise last night. The Broader S&P 500 broke a four-day losing streak on Thursday and gained 0.79 percent. This increase was due to lower than expected inflation data, which has increased expectations of a possible interest rate cut in 2026. Besides, the strong guidance of chip manufacturing company Micron Technology also had an impact on the market. The Nasdaq Composite jumped 1.38 percent, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.14 percent.

In early trade, shares of Max Healthcare Institute, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle, Reliance Industries, Jio Financial Services and Zomato were among the gainers in Nifty 50. On the other hand, shares of Shriram Finance, Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank were included in the list of losers in Nifty 50 pack. The stocks which saw the most movement in the opening trade included Reliance Industries, Infosys, HDFC Bank, L&T and Bajaj Finance, which were seen most active in the morning trade.
