Pilibhit: Pilibhit Tiger Reserve will now give a new home to the baby elephant that was separated from its mother in the Badhavpur forest range of Bijnor. On the instructions of the government, the Tiger Reserve administration has started preparations to bring the baby elephant. Soon this little elephant will reach Pilibhit, where it will be looked after and nurtured along with other elephants. This whole matter is of Ramjiwala beat of Badhavpur forest range of Bijnor. On December 2, an elephant gave birth to a child in the forest. Shortly after birth, somehow the child rolled and fell into a pit. Meanwhile, the voice of the elephant was heard in the nearby forest, but she did not return to the child.
Rescue started after information from Van Gurjars
Van Gurjars living in the neighboring forest informed the forest department after hearing the sound of the elephant and seeing the child falling into the pit. As soon as the information was received, the team of forest workers reached the spot. After a lot of hard work, the baby elephant was safely taken out of the pit. However, the elephant was not present on the spot at that time. After the rescue, forest workers started searching for the elephant in the surrounding forests. Information about the entire matter was given to higher officials. After receiving instructions, different teams were formed to search for the elephant. The forests were searched for several days, but no concrete clue could be found about the elephant.
Many attempts to reunite him with his mother were unsuccessful.
Many efforts were made by the Forest Department to reunite the elephant and the child. The child was kept in the same area, so that the elephant could return and take it with her. During this period, the elephant also came near the child twice, but returned without adopting him. Despite all efforts, mother and child could not be reunited. After being separated from its mother, the baby elephant was kept under the supervision of veterinarians in the forest range itself. He was fed milk regularly and complete arrangements were made to protect him from cold. Forest workers should constantly keep an eye on his health, so that the child does not suffer any kind of harm.
