Haryana Pehowa ED Raid: In Kurukshetra, Haryana, ED raided the house of visa agent Vishal Chawla, whose network extends to Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh. Investigation into sending abroad through the donkey route is ongoing. It is being told that the agent fled from the house even before the raid. At present, some soldiers have been deployed outside the house.
Kurukshetra:-A raid is going on at the house of a Visa agent of Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Kurukshetra, Haryana. In Model Town of Pehowa, the ED team reached the spot in a private vehicle and is investigating by locking the agent’s house from inside. No one is allowed to come inside. Therefore, security personnel have been deployed outside the house. Although the team informed the local administration about the matter, no one was kept involved in the raid. Till now the team has not shared any information with anyone.
Visa agent Vishal Chawla’s network extends from Haryana to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Vishal Chawla has sent many people abroad from this state. ED had also raided the premises of two agents in Pehowa and Ismailabad about 5 months ago.
These agents are suspected of illegally sending people to America and other countries through the Donkey Route. In February and November this year, many youths of the district returned after being deported from America. The suspicion is that ED has arrived to investigate the amount of money recovered from America.
There was theft at the agent’s house last month
Last month there was theft at the house of agent Vishal Chawla. The thieves entered through the door and stole around Rs 5 lakh, foreign currency and jewelery from the house and fled away. Police is busy investigating this matter. There is a suspicion of the agent absconding before the raid.
