The idea of this work came after retirement
This stall is run by Amrit Jana and his wife Shyam Jana. Amrit Jana tells that earlier he was working in the Agriculture Department. After retirement, this question kept revolving in the mind as to what to do next. During this time he realized that his wife had amazing taste in her hands. Guests coming to home often praised the food prepared by him. From here a small but strong idea was born – to provide simple, clean and tasty food like home to the people.
This stall opens only for two hours
Today “Ghor-e-Khabar” opens every day at 12:30 pm in SNP area of Sakchi and the surprising thing is that this shop is open only for two hours. The reason is clear – crowds of people start gathering here even before the shop opens. The presence of office going employees, shopkeepers and especially students is always visible here. Serving food to more people in less time has become the identity of this stall.
The price is also suitable
The food available here is not only delicious but also very affordable. Veg thali is available for just Rs 50, egg thali for Rs 50, chicken thali for Rs 65 and fish thali for Rs 60. The vegetables are changed daily – sometimes chickpea, sometimes peas, sometimes potato and sometimes mixed vegetables. This maintains the curiosity of the customers and they get to eat something new every day.

Rajesh, who came to eat food, says that the taste here feels exactly like home, as if the food is cooked by mother.
