In Ghaziabad’s Aura Chimera Society, a tenant couple murdered the landlady for not paying rent and hid the body in a suitcase. Police have arrested both of them, investigation is ongoing. According to the information, the landlady was demanding rent from the tenant couple for the last 5-6 months. It is alleged that the tenants were delaying in paying the rent.

A heart-wrenching case has come to light on the doorstep of the capital in which a tenant couple who did not pay rent strangled their landlady to death, cut her body into pieces, packed it in a suitcase and hid it inside the bed. The age of the victim is said to be around 50 years. The police have arrested both the accused and the investigation is ongoing. The matter is of Aura Chimera Society of Rajnagar Extension.
According to the information, the landlady was demanding rent from the tenant couple for the last 5-6 months. It is alleged that the tenants were delaying in paying the rent. On the evening of the incident, the landlady went to the flat to ask for rent. In the CCTV footage, she is seen going towards the flat, but was not seen coming back. When she did not return home at night, family and society members started searching. After watching the CCTV, suspicion fell on the tenants.
Society people knocked on the door of the flat. There was no response from inside, but suddenly the tenant couple started trying to run away. Hearing the noise, the neighbors gathered and caught both of them. Someone immediately informed the police. Police reached the spot and searched the flat. A suitcase was found under the bed, which contained body parts. Preliminary investigation revealed that the murder was committed by strangulation and then the body was cut into pieces.
The murder weapon and other evidence have been recovered. The accused couple are originally from another state and used to work here. Neighbors said that he seemed to be of a calm nature, but was not paying the rent. The landlady lived alone and lived on rent. Police have registered a case under murder, destruction of evidence and other sections.
The forensic team has taken samples from the spot. Post mortem report is awaited. There is an atmosphere of panic in the society. Police are examining CCTV and other footage of the society. The accused are breaking down during interrogation, but the whole story has not come out yet. The police have appealed to the people to get police verification done for the tenants.
