This time the reason for discussion is MLA Humayun Kabir who not only gave an open statement regarding the height, width and funding of the proposed mosque, but also expressed his opinion on Voter List Revision (SIR), Muslim voters, BJP and the announcement of the new party.

So far, donations worth more than Rs 5 crore have been collected. Material worth Rs 1.5 to Rs 2 crore has already arrived for the construction of the mosque. Humayun Kabir claims that this construction will be done completely with public cooperation and donations.

Humayun Kabir is an MLA from Murshidabad, West Bengal and is known for his outspoken statements. Humayun Kabir has also given a big statement regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list.
1. Claim of deletion of two lakh names: He said that names of about 2 lakh people have been deleted in Murshidabad. These include people who are dead or who had double names.
2. SIR will not have any effect: Humayun Kabir says that the names of those who have expired (dead) or who have duplicate names should be deleted.
3. Benefit to Muslim voters and BJP? , On the question that SIR will reduce Muslim voters and BJP will benefit, he clearly said that nothing will happen. His argument is that a total of 58 lakh names have been minus but the very next day around 30 lakh new voters aged 18 years will be added. This number will become almost equal by the elections.
4. Claim regarding voting percentage: Humayun Kabir said that there will be up to 80% voting in the elections. Last time less than 2 crore people could not vote, even then it did not make any difference. Humayun has made a big announcement regarding the new party. Humayun Kabir also made it clear that the new party will be formally announced on 22nd between 12 noon to 1 pm. After this statement, speculations have intensified that he may choose a different political path from Trinamool Congress.
