Horticulture expert Vikas Mahato of Korba, Chhattisgarh, while talking to Local 18, said that from December to February, by planting some special flower plants in the garden, balcony or any small area, you can decorate the house with lush green natural colors. It takes less effort to take care of these flowers but their beauty is very high. Your guests will definitely appreciate the fragrant flowers.

Marigold- Marigold flowers are the most popular choice in winter. This plant with yellow and orange flowers can be planted in a pot, if you do not have space to plant it in the ground. Keep the potted plant in a sunny place. If the marigold plant is planted from October to December, then flowers start appearing on it by January. If you sprinkle fertilizer every 10 days, your plant will be laden with flowers.

Rose- Rose also blooms profusely in winter. Black, white or red rose plants can be planted in a pot or bed. Water them once a week and keep them in direct contact with morning and evening sunlight.

Calendula- This plant with yellow-orange flowers starts blooming in 50 days. Plant them in a shady or open place. If you add a handful of fertilizer once a week, good growth will be achieved.

Flowers like gazania, dianthus, vinca and petunia can also be planted in winter. These small plants give a lot of fragrance even in small space and they require very little care. Vikas Mahato says that at this time, plant plants as per your choice because both their popularity and quality are more in winter.
