Rakesh Kumar, aged 24, resident of Shakti Farm area of Sitarganj Assembly of Uttarakhand, had gone to Russia to study on study visa. During this time, Rakesh’s visa and passport were confiscated and he was forcibly recruited into the Russian Army.
Udham Singh Nagar: The atmosphere in Sitarganj of Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand became sad when the dead body of young Rakesh reached his native village. It is being told that Rakesh had gone to study on student visa. But he later got involved in the Russia-Ukraine war, where he died. Rakesh was a resident of Shakti Farm in Sitarganj. The family members had requested the authorities for help to bring back Rakesh. But meanwhile Rakesh died this month. Rakesh’s funeral was held on Wednesday in a sad atmosphere.

He went to Delhi and met the officials of the Government of India. The officials had assured that Rakesh would be brought back to India soon. 10 days ago the officials contacted the family and informed that Rakesh has been martyred. The body of deceased Rakesh Kumar came to Shakti Farm Farm in Sitarganj, where the last rites of the dead body were performed today.
