These days, the problem of aphid in mustard and frost in potato is being seen, which has a direct impact on the production. Keeping this in mind, farmers were informed about crop protection measures in time.
Technical information given to farmers
During the program, farmers were given detailed information about identification of pests and diseases affecting crops, their effects and timely control. It was told in the training camp that if the crop is monitored in the initial stages, major losses can be avoided. Farmers also expressed their problems and gave suggestions regarding crop management.
Measures to prevent rain and frost were explained
In the third session, agricultural scientists laid special emphasis on practical measures to prevent frost in mustard and frost in potatoes. To prevent the attack of Lahi in mustard crop, timely spraying of pesticides was advised. Besides, emphasis was also laid on adopting organic solutions. To protect the potato crop from frost, information was given about light irrigation, fumigation and spraying of protective medicines on the crop, so that the effect of cold can be reduced.
Distribution of medicines and exchange of tips
During the training, essential medicines were also distributed among the farmers. Farmers shared the problems they were facing in their fields and received solutions from experts. Through this dialogue, it was explained to the farmers that crop protection is not limited to just spraying medicine, but regular maintenance is also equally important.

Dr. Pramod Kumar, agricultural scientist of the Regional Research Center Chianki, who was present on the spot, told Local18 that regular monitoring of crops is very important in the present times. Due to change in weather, pests and diseases spread rapidly. If farmers take appropriate steps in time, damage to crops can be avoided to a great extent.

Ramesh Singh Chero told that his bean crop has been infested by Lahi. Due to which flowering has reduced. In such a situation, the agricultural expert said that it can be cured by spraying medicine or by preparing a solution of neem extract and spraying it biologically.
