Sweet potato available in winter season is very beneficial not only for taste but also for health. Halwa made from sweet potato, rich in fiber, vitamin A and energy, keeps the body warm and gives strength. Sweet potato halwa made at home with a little effort and simple ingredients is liked by everyone, from children to elders.
There are many fruits and vegetables which are visible in the markets only during the winter season, one of them is sweet potato, from which delicious pudding is made and eaten in winter. Eating sweet potato pudding keeps the body warm in winter and also provides energy. The good thing is that we can make sweet potato halwa very easily at home.
Sweet potato pudding is not only delicious to eat, but is also considered beneficial for health. Fiber, Vitamin A, potassium and antioxidants are found in sweet potatoes, hence sweet potato pudding is considered healthy for everyone from children to the elderly. That is why elderly people should feed it once a week during the winter season.
To make sweet potato pudding, first wash it thoroughly with hot water. After this, place the cooker on the gas, add sweet potatoes in it and boil for at least three to four whistles. When the sweet potato cools down, remove its peel and then mash it well in a vessel.

Now place the pan on the gas and add 5 to 7 spoons of ghee in it. After the ghee is heated, put the prepared sweet potato mash in the pan. Fry it on medium flame for about 10 minutes while stirring continuously, after some time it will start smelling and its color will become golden.
After it turns golden, add milk and jaggery and then cook it well for 5 to 10 minutes. This will thicken the halwa, after which add cardamom powder, cashew nuts, almonds, pistachios and other dry fruits. Then cook it for 2 more minutes, in this way delicious sweet potato pudding will be ready.
