Mandi News: In Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, his former driver cheated former minister Kaul Singh by taking his name. Now the accused has been arrested on the complaint of two shopkeepers. The accused was earlier a driver for the former minister, but was later fired from his job. The accused has been presented in the court.

According to the information, Manoj Kumar alias Mohit, a resident of Bhuli in Mandi city, used to work as a driver for the former minister. However, the former minister had now removed him. But the vicious person took advantage of the name of former minister Kaul Singh Thakur and committed the fraud.
A resident of Bhuli told that he has a shop for spare parts of agricultural equipment. However, he knew the accused Manoj Thakur because he used to come to him earlier to get the power tiller of former minister Thakur Kaul Singh repaired. In the complaint given to the police, he said that the accused took away five power tillers from him some time ago and took the name of the former minister and said that he was out now and that is why he would make the payment through check later. However, when investigated, it was found that Manoj had defrauded her. He defrauded the shopkeeper of Rs 1.95 lakh.
In the second complaint, another shopkeeper has alleged that accused Manoj, pretending to be Kaul Singh’s driver, bought goods worth Rs 1,83,095 twice and promised to pay the money later. When he also investigated, the lie came to light. Police investigation has revealed that the accused was selling the goods to other people after purchasing them and before this also he had cheated many people. At present, the court has sent the accused on one-day police remand on Tuesday.

It is noteworthy that Kaul Singh has been a minister in the Himachal Pradesh government. He has won the Drang assembly elections about eight times. However, he lost the 2022 elections.
