Losing a bag while traveling is not a new thing, especially when the journey is international. Many times people’s belongings go missing between airports, flights and transit. But have you ever wondered what happens to the bags that do not reach their original owners? This question has become the reason for an interesting story going viral on social media these days.
In fact, the bags which remain unclaimed for a long time and whose owner is not revealed, are sold in auction after a few months. In such auctions, people buy suitcases or backpacks at low prices, in the hope that they might find something valuable inside. Many people consider it like trying their luck, sometimes they get a jackpot and sometimes they get only scrap.
Bought a bag for thousands of rupees with great expectations
With this hope, 26-year-old Scott Fensom, resident of Hampshire, England, bought an abandoned Nike Air backpack. He paid only £10 ((about 1,000 rupees) for this. Scott thought that perhaps this might prove to be his lucky day and he might find something expensive or useful inside the bag. Scott made a video of the entire process of opening the bag and shared it on social media. This video went viral in no time.
Hopes shattered as soon as the bag was opened
As soon as Scott opened the bag, his hopes got the first blow. First of all, they found some useless things inside the bag like cigarette butts, a small fob and some junk here and there. Seeing this it was clear that no treasure would be found. After this, more items came out of the bag, which included tools, empty Red Bull can, reading glasses, high-visibility jacket and deodorant. Not only this, a jacket, newspaper, hotel bill and some electrical cables were also found in the bag. Overall, the stuff was not valuable at all.

However, not everything was hopeless. A pair of shoes and headphones of DeWalt company were also found in the bag, whose price was much more than the price of the bag. Technically speaking, Scott did not suffer any loss, but his expectations were still not fulfilled. According to The Mirror, Scott himself said, “I was hoping for a little better. The beginning seemed quite promising.”
