This is a golden opportunity for the youth of Bastar to get training. This training is being given free of cost through the Livelihood College run by the Skill Development Department. In this training, residential facilities are also being provided to the youth of Bastar, in which food arrangements will also be provided free of cost. Besides, the college will also provide free placement facility after completion of training. Apart from this, youth can also move towards self-employment by learning this training. Which courses are included?
Local 18 team talked to Praveen Verma, Assistant Director of Skill Development Department. Praveen Verma told that at present various courses are being conducted in Livelihood College. These include courses like motor mechanic, hotel management, tractor mechanic and water distribution. At present, a new batch of tractor mechanic course is about to start.
He told that the state government has signed an MOU with Mahindra Company, which is a three-year agreement. Training is being imparted by Mahindra Company through various Livelihood Colleges. 10th pass youth can apply for this training. This is a very good skill development course.
Agriculture sector is growing rapidly in Chhattisgarh
Praveen Verma said that at present the agriculture sector in Chhattisgarh is growing rapidly. The number of tractors is increasing and they have reached every village. In such a situation, if the tractor breaks down, it has to be taken to the headquarters. If youth take training as tractor mechanics and start working at the village level, then it can become a better employment opportunity. After training, Mahindra company is also giving direct placement in Nagpur.
For this course, copy of 10th mark sheet and Aadhar card is necessary. This is a two month course. For this, applications are taken continuously and as soon as one course is completed, a new batch is started.
