Varanasi: The havoc of fog is continuously increasing in Uttar Pradesh. On Wednesday (December 17) also, the Meteorological Department has issued a latest update regarding fog. It is estimated that today moderate to dense fog may be seen in more than 40 districts of UP. In many of these districts, dense fog with visibility of 50 to 100 meters prevailed in the early morning. Indian Meteorological Department i.e. IMD has predicted that due to fog, cold will increase in the next 24 hours and the havoc of cold wave will also be seen in the districts of UP.
According to the information received from the Zonal Weather Center located in Amausi, Lucknow, on December 17, dense fog will be seen in many cities of Eastern UP as well as Western UP. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert regarding this. Dense fog with zero visibility is likely to prevail in more than 24 districts on Wednesday (December 17). These districts include Gorakhpur, Basti, Deoria, Kushinagar, Shravasti, Balrampur, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Bahraich, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri and Pilibhit.
Fog will be seen here too
Apart from this, moderate fog is expected in Varanasi, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Sonbhadra, Ballia, Mau, Azamgarh, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Jaunpur, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Amethi, Barabanki, Ambedkar Nagar and Mau today. Whereas, moderate to light fog can be seen in Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Badaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Kanpur, Etawah, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Badaun, Rampur, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli and Saharanpur. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to be 28 and minimum 8 degrees Celsius. Let us tell you that in the last 24 hours, there was fog with zero visibility in Agra, Bareilly, Moradabad and Prayagraj. Apart from this, the lowest minimum temperature recorded in Etawah in the last 24 hours was 7.2 degrees Celsius.
The mercury dropped in Lucknow
There has been a sudden increase in cold in the state capital Lucknow. There has been no significant change in the minimum temperature here, but the maximum temperature has suddenly dropped rapidly. The oppression of cold will continue in Lucknow on Wednesday also. The weather department estimates that moderate fog may be seen in Lucknow on Wednesday morning. However, the weather here will become normal as the day progresses. It is estimated that today the minimum temperature is expected to be around 10 and maximum 23 degrees Celsius. If we talk about Noida, today the minimum temperature there is expected to be 10 and maximum 24 degrees Celsius.
Now the cold will increase
BHU meteorologist Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava said that now along with the maximum temperature, the minimum temperature will also gradually decrease in UP. Due to which the havoc of cold and cold wave will increase.
