Goa Night Club Fire News: Gaurav Luthra and Saurabh Luthra, co-owners of Goa’s ‘Birch by Romeo Lane’ nightclub, were arrested on reaching Delhi on Tuesday after being extradited from Thailand. After this he was presented in Patiala House Court. They have been kept on ‘transit remand’ for two days so that they can be produced in the Goa court. Both the brothers started crying during the hearing in Patiala House Court. 25 people died in a massive fire in a nightclub.
Goa Night Club Fire Luthra Brother News: The culprits of the Goa night club fire are now on Indian soil. Now their crimes will be judged in India only. Indian agencies have dragged Luthra Brothers from across the seven seas. Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra were brought to Delhi from Thailand on Tuesday. After bringing him to Delhi, he was formally arrested at the airport. The Luthra brothers, owners of Goa’s ‘Birch by Romeo Lane’ nightclub, were produced in the Patiala House court after being extradited from Thailand. When the case was being heard in the court, the Luthra brothers started crying bitterly.
According to a police source, the Luthra brothers (Saurabh and Gaurav) also started crying during the hearing in Patiala House Court on Tuesday. Their heads were bowed downwards in the court. Both the brothers were looking very emotional while they were going inside the court and also while coming out. When they came face to face with the media, both the brothers were seen apologizing with folded hands. On December 6, 25 people died in a massive fire at ‘Birch by Romeo Lane’ nightclub in Goa.
The family members of Luthra Brothers were also present in the court.
Tears shed in front of the family
In fact, when Luthra Brothers were produced in Patiala House Court, their family members were also present in the court on Tuesday. Luthra Brothers also shed tears in front of him. During the court proceedings, both Luthra brothers i.e. Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra were seen crying bitterly after coming face to face with their family members. However, during the hearing, Patiala House Court on Tuesday granted two-day transit remand of Goa Nightclub co-owners Gaurav Luthra and Saurabh Luthra to Goa Police.

What else happened in the court?
Goa Police produced the Luthra brothers before Judicial Magistrate Twinkle Chawla in the Patiala House court and requested for their three-day transit remand. The investigating officer informed the court that the Luthra brothers would be taken to Goa by air as soon as possible. The judicial magistrate granted two-day transit remand of the Luthra brothers to Goa Police. Both the accused were brought to the court in two separate police vehicles amid heavy security. Today i.e. on Wednesday, Goa Police will take Luthra Brothers to Goa.

What are the allegations against Luthra Brothers?
Earlier, after the extradition of Luthra brothers to India, Goa Police had arrested them from the airport. Both the accused were also taken to Safdarjung Hospital for medical examination. After the December 6 incident, charges of culpable homicide and negligence have been leveled against the Luthra brothers. Investigators allege that the incident was worsened by the nightclub’s violation of mandatory fire safety regulations.
Luthra brothers fled to Thailand after Goa night club fire
Gaurav and Saurabh fled to Phuket in the early hours of December 7, hours after a fire broke out in their nightclub, leading to Interpol ‘Blue Corner’ notices and cancellation of their passports. Following a request by the Indian government, Thai authorities detained both of them in Phuket on 11 December. The Indian government coordinated with Thai authorities to extradite him under the legal treaties between the two countries.
