Naib Subedar Jabir Ahmed of the Indian Army was martyred in the explosion on the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. Naib Subedar Jabir Ahmed was a resident of Rattal, Chaudhary Nar village of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. During his 22 years of service in the Army, he performed duty in many challenging areas. Discipline, honesty and duty were his hallmarks. Fellow soldiers are remembering him as a trustworthy and calm soldier.
How did the accident happen in Kupwara?
According to sources, Naib Subedar Jabir Ahmed was posted in the sensitive LoC area in Kupwara sector. He was seriously injured in an explosion while on duty and attained martyrdom. This area is already considered sensitive, where army personnel remain on alert every moment.
