The person made the last video
The title of the video uploaded on 26 September was- My Last Video. In this, Dr. Murray-Smith said that this would be his last video. He said that he was now finding the videos “repetitive and a bit boring” and he wanted to say goodbye to the channel “while still on a high”. In the video, he also said that his old videos will remain available online and will remain reference material for people in future also. In the end he said in emotional words – “Remember me sometimes and let’s leave, only when we are all happy.”
Died the very next day of the video
Dr. Murray-Smith died the very next day after this video. Later his brother Dave Smith shared the information through a video that Robert had committed suicide. He told that Robert was in deep grief after the death of his wife Patty. Patty died about one and a half to two years ago and Robert could never recover from that emptiness. Apart from this, his health was also deteriorating rapidly in recent months. He had a lot of pain while walking, which further increased his depression. Dave Smith also told that the family tried many times to talk to Robert about his mental health, but he often said – “I am fine, everything is fine.” When pressed on this, he would start avoiding the conversation. He said that the happy and energetic face seen in the video was actually a mask behind which deep pain was hidden. After the news of Robert’s death came out, his YouTube channel was flooded with condolence messages.
