It is not eaten with a spoon like ordinary halwa, but is eaten by breaking it with hands. Its biggest specialty is that it does not use heavy ghee or much sugar, yet its taste is very rich and elegant. Ice Halwa is also called “Mahim Halwa” in some places, which is believed to be associated with the Mahim area of Mumbai.
