Ethiopia Amazing Facts: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to reach Ethiopia on a two-day state visit. During this, the PM will discuss in detail with his Ethiopian counterpart Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali on all important aspects of India-Ethiopia bilateral relations. This visit is considered important for further strengthening the political, economic and strategic cooperation between the two countries. The two leaders have met earlier in the G-20 conference and this is PM Modi’s first visit to Ethiopia.

There are more than 80 such tribes living completely isolated from the world, knowing about which the common man will be stunned. Its customs and way of living are very different but they are preserved in the forests of Jahan. More than 80 tribes live in Ethiopia. Some of these tribes live in remote areas and maintain distance from outsiders. Their customs and rituals are so strange that people consider them dreadful and dangerous. If we tell you about some of the famous tribes here, you will be amazed.
Suri clan
The identity of this tribe, found in south-west Ethiopia, is the large disk placed on the lips of the women here. They keep weapons with them to protect their land and cattle. Since they are separate from the world, people consider them dangerous. Their number is around 30,000 to 40,000.

morsi clan
These women living in Omo Valley of Ethiopia also have lip plates on their lips. They have traditional marks on their bodies and these people are very strict towards their culture. Their number is around 7,000 to 10,000.
hamar clan
These tribes are also found in Omo Valley only. They are identified with a special ritual, which includes the ritual of bull jumping. Their social traditions are very strong. This is the reason why they are very sensitive towards tourists and do not allow anyone to join them. Their number is considered to be around 45,000 to 50,000.

The people of the Afar tribe live in the Danakil Desert of Ethiopia. Their identity is to carry a sword and knife. These people live a very strict lifestyle due to the harsh desert life, which makes them scary. Their number is quite considerable and their number is 15-20 lakh.
Nyangatom clan
The identity of this tribe living on the Ethiopia-Kenya border is their war tradition. They keep dangerous weapons for the protection of their cattle. Their number is about 20 thousand. Their tools and weapons make them dangerous for the rest of the world.

Ethiopia is counted among the most volcanically active countries in Africa. The reason for this is the East African Rift Valley present here, where the tectonic plates of the earth are separating from each other. For this reason, many active and inactive volcanoes are present in Ethiopia. The most dangerous volcano of Ethiopia is Erta Aale, lava flows continuously here. It has erupted several times, which is why it is called the smoking mountain. 22 days before the PM’s visit, Haile Gabbi, a volcano that has been sleeping for 12,000 years, has erupted in Ethiopia. Due to this, embers and ash rose up to 14 kilometers, due to which the cloud of ash reached many countries. There are more than 60 volcanoes in Ethiopia. There are about 20 volcanoes which are considered active. It is called an open lab for scientists, where the process of breaking of the continent can be seen.
