During the program, a newly appointed female doctor named Nusrat Parveen reached the stage. She was wearing hijab. It can be seen in the video that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed his displeasure by pointing towards her hijab and said, “What is this?” After this he removed the hijab from the face of the female doctor. All this happened suddenly, due to which the female doctor got scared. An officer present at the spot immediately took him aside. It is also seen in the video that Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, standing next to the Chief Minister, tries to stop him. Health Minister Mangal Pandey and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar are seen standing behind. Some people are also seen laughing during this time.
RJD attack
Opposition parties have launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar regarding this incident. While sharing the video, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress have linked it to the “mental condition” of the Chief Minister. RJD wrote on social media platform X, “What has happened to Nitish ji?” The party further said that either his mental condition has become very bad or he has completely got involved in Sangh politics.
Congress attack
Congress has also termed this incident as “shameful” and “disgusting”. The party said that such treatment of a female doctor who had come to collect the appointment letter is highly condemnable. Congress leaders raised the question that if the Chief Minister can do this from the stage, then what will be the situation of women’s safety in the state.
This is not the first time that questions have been raised about Nitish Kumar’s behaviour. Even before this, a video of a woman being garlanded in a public program had gone viral, on which there was a lot of controversy. Before the elections, many leaders including Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishore had also raised questions on the mental condition of the Chief Minister. At present, the politics of Bihar has become heated due to this latest incident.
appointment letters distributed
Appointment letters were being given to more than one thousand AYUSH doctors. According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the selected doctors include 685 Ayurveda, 393 Homeopathy and 205 Unani system doctors. Of these, 10 doctors were handed over appointment letters by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar himself from the stage, while the rest were given letters through online medium.
