When she went to the hospital to get that tumor removed, even the doctors were stunned during the operation. Behind the tumor was hidden a fully grown baby outside the uterus. Many times such incidents happen in our life, after knowing about which it seems as if it is a miracle. Those incidents cannot be believed at first. Such incidents are often heard in medical science. Sometimes someone comes back alive after dying, while someone survives even the most complex diseases. Such cases leave even doctors and experts stunned. Something similar happened with Suze Lopez, a 41-year-old woman from California. There was a big tumor in her stomach, which she went to the hospital to get removed. But when the doctors there examined them, they were stunned. They found that Suge had a fully developed baby in her stomach. In such a situation, a team of 30 experts together removed Suz’s tumor and got the child delivered.
Let us tell you that Suge Lopez is a nurse in Bakersfield, California. She had been trying to get pregnant for her second child for years, but was not successful. Meanwhile, a big tumor developed in her stomach, due to which she started suffering from pain. This tumor had been continuously growing and its weight had increased to about 22 pounds (about 10 kilograms). In such a situation, she decided to undergo surgery to remove this tumor and was admitted to the hospital. But before admitting her to the hospital, a routine pregnancy test was done which came positive. Both the doctor and Suge were shocked to see this result, because they thought that due to such a large ovarian cyst it could be a ‘false positive’. Suze herself was used to irregular periods and mild stomach pain, so she thought it was all due to the growth of the tumor.
She had no idea that the prayer she had been praying for her second child for 17 years was about to be fulfilled. Three days later, when Suze was admitted to the hospital with stomach pain, doctors discovered that Suze was suffering from a “rare” abdominal ectopic pregnancy. In this case the baby was developing outside the uterus in the mother’s abdominal cavity. “Suse was pregnant, but her uterus was empty and there was a large tumor weighing more than 20 pounds. And a full-grown baby was resting on the uterus near the liver in the abdomen,” said John Ozimek, a surgeon at Cedars Sinai Hospital. “It is logical that Suge might have thought that her tumor was growing larger again, not that she might be pregnant,” Dr. Ozimek said.
However, survival of the baby in an abdominal ectopic pregnancy is considered exceptionally rare, as the placenta cannot develop safely in the abdomen, putting the mother at risk of severe bleeding, resulting in fetal death. But in this miraculous case the child was fully developed and healthy. The baby weighed 8 pounds at birth and was named Ryu. Michael Manuel, the gynecologic oncologist called in to remove the giant cyst, said, “I’ve never heard of a pregnancy this far along in my entire career.” A team of 30 experts was involved to complete this amazing work. The tumor was removed on one side, so that the child could be taken out safely. Soon after the birth of the child, Suge started bleeding. But the team of doctors saved him too.
