Chitrakoot Group Marriage: When poor families could not collect money for their daughter’s marriage, then they took the help of Chief Minister Group Marriage Scheme and then their daughter left with her belongings. A grand mass marriage ceremony was organized at the Rashtriya Ramayana Mela Parishad premises in Chitrakoot district today, where 341 couples entered into marital life together.
Chitrakoot: In today’s times, rising inflation has broken the back of the common man. Especially when it comes to daughter’s marriage, lines of worry are clearly visible on a father’s forehead. There are many families who either have to sell their land or bear the burden of debt to provide for their daughter. In such a situation, the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme of Uttar Pradesh Government has emerged as a strong ray of hope for poor and needy families.
341 couples got married
Let us tell you that under this scheme, a grand mass marriage ceremony was organized today at the Rashtriya Ramayana Mela Parishad premises in Chitrakoot district, where 341 couples entered into married life together. Couples from Hindu, Muslim and Jain communities participated in this mass marriage, due to which the message of social unity and mutual harmony was also seen, where Vedic chanting, Nikah rituals and marriage process as per Jain traditions were completed under the same stage.
During the ceremony the entire premises was decorated to welcome the bride and groom. Traditional music, decorated mandap and wedding paraphernalia made the event memorable. The public representatives and officials present on the spot blessed the newly married couples and wished them a happy future.
60 thousand rupees in the girl’s account
Giving information, an official of the Social Welfare Department said that under the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme, marriages of a total of 341 couples have been solemnized in Chitrakoot district. He told that under this scheme, an amount of Rs 60 thousand is sent directly to the account of each girl. Apart from this, an amount of Rs 25 thousand is spent on wedding material and Rs 15 thousand is spent on food and other arrangements. He said that this scheme is very useful for the people of poor class, due to which marriages are solemnized without any financial pressure.
This scheme is beneficial
A father who had come from Banda district to get his son married told that he comes from a very poor family. He said that the girl with whom his son is married is also from an ordinary family. After getting information about the Chief Minister’s mass marriage scheme, both the families agreed and today their son’s marriage took place with a girl resident of Rajapur in Chitrakoot district. Expressing his gratitude to the government, he said that this scheme has given many families like his an opportunity to marry with respect.
