Lucknow News: Security agencies have taken major action against the Maoist network that has been active for a long time in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The arrest of a big absconding Naxalite has helped in strengthening the law and order. This arrest is being considered a major success in the Maoist activities that have been going on for 13 years.
Lucknow: Security agencies have taken a major action against Maoist activities that have been active for a long time in many districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. After continuous raids and surveillance, a Maoist Naxalite who was absconding for a long time has been arrested by UP ATS from Varanasi. This arrest is expected to help in strengthening law and order not only in Ballia but also in the surrounding districts.
The name of the arrested Naxalite is Sitaram alias Vinay ji alias Omprakash. Sitaram, resident of Ballia district, was absconding for the last 13 years. He has been a prominent member and office bearer of the banned militant organization CPI (Maoist). He was given the responsibility of expanding the mass movement in the organization. Over ground workers from urban areas also participated in their meetings, who carried forward the activities of the organization.
A reward of Rs 50,000 was placed on a Naxalite
A case of serious murder was registered against Sitaram in Ballia district in 2012. He had murdered Phoolmati, wife of village head Musafir Chauhan. At the time of the incident, the village head somehow managed to escape. According to the police, the village head was suspected to be a police informer, hence the attack was carried out.
Many serious cases are registered against Sitaram
Many cases of bank robbery, murder and other serious crimes are registered against Sitaram not only in Uttar Pradesh but also in Muzaffarpur, Banka and Sitamarhi of Bihar. According to security agencies, this arrest has dealt a major blow to Maoist activities and will prove to be an important success in strengthening law and order.
