Who was IPS Prakhar Pandey? Was posted as DIG in CID

Senior IPS officer of Chhattisgarh Police, Prakhar Pandey died at Ramakrishna Care Hospital in Raipur at around 4:15 pm on Sunday evening. He was immediately brought to Raipur after suffering a sudden heart attack in Bhilai, where despite the tireless efforts of the doctors, he could not be saved.

IPS Prakhar Pandey was currently posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), CID Department at Police Headquarters, Raipur. As soon as the news of his demise was received, a wave of mourning ran in the police department. Many senior officers and employees reached the hospital and expressed deep condolences.

During his long service period, he commanded the police of many important districts of Chhattisgarh. He had been the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Kabirdham, Surajpur and Durg districts, where he did effective work to strengthen law and order and control crime.

Apart from this, IPS Prakhar Pandey also served as Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Bilaspur and Rajnandgaon. He was recognized as a disciplined, honest and sensitive officer, who was known for making policing people-oriented.

He was respected among his colleagues as an experienced and conscientious officer. His leadership and working style left a positive impact in the police department. The police administration and the officers who worked with him are shocked by his sudden demise.

Many organizations and senior officials including Chhattisgarh Retired Police Officers Welfare Association have expressed deep condolence on his demise. Everyone paid heartfelt tribute to the late IPS officer and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
