In Muzaffarpur, laborer Amarnath Ram, troubled by debt and wife’s death, hanged himself along with his three daughters who dreamed of becoming doctors and policemen. However, the sons’ lives were saved when the weak rope broke. In the initial investigation of the police, it has been declared a suicide. Debt is being said to be the reason for this heartbreaking incident.
Priyank Saurabh/Muzaffarpur: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Sakra police station area of Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, where laborer Amarnath Ram, broken by poverty and debt, killed his three daughters and hanged himself. Amarnath’s three daughters used to dream of becoming doctors and police and removing poverty from the house. Her friends have revealed this. But his father, burdened with poverty and debt, made him sleep with him.
The lives of two sons were saved.
On one hand there is mourning in the entire village in this gruesome incident, while on the other hand there is satisfaction that the lives of two sons were saved. Amarnath had hanged his two sons along with his three daughters, but nature showed its charisma. The villagers are shocked as to how the father and the three daughters died, while the two sons escaped death.
Weak rope saved sons’ lives
Police investigation revealed that the father had used strong ropes for himself and his three daughters. When the five children struggled while hanging from the noose, only the two sons broke because the rope was weak. Due to the rope breaking, his body dangled towards the ground and he was successful in saving his life. Both the sons saw their father and three sisters dying in agony in front of their eyes.
Debt and wife’s death became the reason
Initial police investigation is suggesting it to be a case of suicide. Interrogating the neighbors revealed that Amarnath Ram was a daily wage labourer. His wife was suffering from serious illnesses. Amarnath loved his wife very much and had taken a lot of loan for her treatment. After the death of his wife, the pressure of raising five children and repaying the loan became unbearable for Amarnath. Fed up with these problems, he took such a big and terrible step. Police have collected evidence from the incident site and complete clarity about the matter will emerge only after the detailed investigation report comes.
