Expert Rizwana Parveen of Palamu district said that due to dandruff there is constant itching in the scalp. Frequent scratching weakens the hair roots and increases hair fall. Apart from this, dandruff blocks the pores of the scalp, due to which the hair does not get nutrition.
He further said that onion juice is very beneficial in reducing dandruff and hair fall. Mix lemon juice in onion juice and add some olive oil to it and apply it on the scalp. This mixture helps in removing dandruff and increasing hair growth.

He said that apply this mixture thoroughly on the scalp about half an hour before shampooing. Massage lightly so that the mixture reaches the roots. After this wash hair with mild shampoo. The difference becomes visible with regular use.
He said that as another home remedy, mix olive oil in curd and apply it on the scalp and hair. Curd soothes the scalp and reduces dandruff, while olive oil provides moisture and strength to the hair.
Further said that after applying the curd pack, wash the hair with mild shampoo in about 30 minutes. Do not wash hair with very hot water, as it makes the scalp more dry. This solution can prove to be very effective for you also.
He told that if the problem of dandruff is severe then anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner can be used. However, choose shampoo keeping in mind the nature of the hair and avoid excessive use.
He further said that keep hair covered in winter, drink enough water and eat nutritious food. Avoid products containing excessive chemicals. With proper care and home remedies, hair can be kept healthy and strong even in winter.
