Lucknow News: Police has revealed the theft of diamond bangles from Tanishq showroom located in Gomtinagar, Lucknow. Four thieves from Maharashtra had committed this crime after having darshan of Ramlala in Ayodhya. Police caught all four through CCTV footage.
According to the police, the accused reached Lucknow from Maharashtra on Monday and stayed in a hotel in Charbagh area. The next day he did a recce of the showroom. He reached Ayodhya on Tuesday morning and had darshan of Ramlala. Returned to Lucknow in the evening and went straight to Tanishq showroom. Dressed in suits and boots, all four posed as rich customers and requested the staff to show them their jewellery. During this time, he took the opportunity and took four precious diamond bangles from the display.
CCTV footage revealed
The showroom staff discovered the theft when the stock was checked. The actions of the accused were captured in the CCTV footage, on the basis of which the police took immediate action. Within a few hours, the police team caught the accused and recovered all the stolen bangles from them. According to police officials, the accused are old criminals who target jewelery showrooms. They often enter shops posing as customers and steal while keeping the staff busy. The search for other members of this gang is going on and cases are likely to be registered against them in many states.
