Although, from time to time, statements of some celebrities come out when they talk to the common people about having more children, but these statements are politically motivated to some extent. Meanwhile, a different news has come out from Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh, where a woman has given birth to her 10th child. Kusum Adivasi, a woman from the tribal community, gave birth to her 10th child at Raneh Health Center in the district and now the woman is in the headlines.
38 year old Kusum was married 18 years ago and gave birth to a son a year later. Today this son is 17 years old. After that Kusum gave birth to 8 more children and now two days ago she has given birth to a son as her 10th child. Among these 10 children, Kusum now has 7 daughters and three sons. The special thing is that 9 deliveries till now were normal deliveries. Kusum gave birth to all the children at home but this time the matter of the 10th child went wrong and the woman came in high risk. The ASHA worker of the area was continuously monitoring this woman. She brought Kusum, who was in high risk, to the government hospital in Raneh.
Gave birth to a child in the hospital
For Kusum, this was the first time when she was giving birth to a child in the hospital and here also she would be blessed by God’s grace that despite being at high risk, she did not need an operation and she also gave birth to her 10th child through normal delivery. After this delivery, both Kusum and her child are healthy and there is no danger to them. In today’s era, such cases seem very strange and even become a topic of discussion after seeing and hearing about them. This is what is happening in this case. People are discussing about having 10 children.
Kusum is not the first woman
It is not that this woman is the first woman to have 10 children, but till a few decades ago this number used to be much larger but with time people adopted family planning. He accepted the views of the government and society and imbibed the idea of ’small family, happy family’ and limited the form of family.
God’s gift to children
Kusum’s 43-year-old husband Nandram is a tribal laborer and is happy with his large family. He considers children as God’s gift and proudly says that God has given him so many children. However, now that the figure has reached 10, Nandram is saying that this trend will stop and sterilization operation of the wife will be done. Now they will not have children. His plan for family planning after 10 children will soon be visible on the ground. At the same time, her 17 year old son is also busy taking care of his mother along with his brother, while the rest of the siblings are also happy to have another brother in their house.
