In fact, a minor resident of a village in Jhajha police station area of the district had run away from her home in September last year. The minor had left the house saying that she was going to appear for the exam. But she did not return again. When the family started worrying about him, they registered a case with the police. After much effort, the police got information about the minor. Through social media tracking, the police kept a constant vigil and traced her location and found out that the girl was in Dalia district of Madhya Pradesh. A team from Jhajha went to Madhya Pradesh and recovered the minor. During this time the police also brought her lover with them.
Action under Child Protection Act
Jhajha police station incharge Sanjay Kumar said that the recovered girl was living with a minor boy in Madhya Pradesh for the last several days. That boy is also a resident of Dalia district. He told that investigation has also revealed that there was contact between the two through Instagram. The friendship that started on social media gradually turned into love and the minor girl went with him. Police said that during the investigation of the case, based on the digital activities of the girl’s mobile, the police reached her location. Here, when both of them were brought to Jhajha, the girlfriend talked about living with her boyfriend. But since she is a minor, further action is now being taken under the Child Protection Act, while her boyfriend has also been sent to a juvenile home after necessary legal process.
