Aurangabad News: Aurangabad district has revealed how high the spirits of liquor smugglers are in Bihar, where liquor has been banned. Here, due to fear of illegal liquor traders, an entire family is forced to leave their home and wander from door to door for the last 52 days.
Aurangabad: Despite prohibition in Bihar, liquor sale is not stopping. A case of bullying by liquor smugglers came to light in Aurangabad. Where a family was forced to leave their home. When he refused to sell liquor in the verandah of his house, the miscreants threatened to kill him. Even the police ignored the victim’s plea. Now the husband and wife along with their children have been running from door to door for 52 days. The family appealed to the Superintendent of Police for help.
The matter is of Itwan village of Haspura police station area. The only fault of one family was that they had refused to sell liquor on the verandah of their house. According to Salam Alam, the head of the victim’s family, two liquor traders from the village often used to sell liquor sitting in front of their house. When the family protested against this, both the liquor mafia got furious and along with some of their associates, beat up the entire family. It is alleged that not only was he beaten brutally, but he was also threatened to burn the entire family alive by setting the house on fire if he did not remain silent.
Unable to return home for 52 days
Scared, Salam Alam reached Haspura police station with his wife and six innocent children and informed the police about the entire incident. But the victim’s family alleges that the police did not take their complaint seriously and no concrete action was taken. After not getting help from the police, the family decided to leave the house to save their lives and have been living in hiding at different places for the last 52 days.
Reached SP with complaint
The victim says that neither he is able to live peacefully nor his children are able to study smoothly. The family is living under the shadow of fear and uncertainty all the time. Ultimately, in the hope of justice, the whole family reached Aurangabad Superintendent of Police to appeal. The family clearly said in the SP office that if they do not get security and justice, they will be forced to take steps like mass suicide. The police have different views on the whole matter. Police say that an FIR has been lodged by both the parties regarding the incident and the matter is being investigated. Further legal action will be taken based on whatever facts emerge during the investigation.
