Reiki in every district of Bihar and then theft-robbery, the whole game of 'UP Gang' exposed

Darbhanga. In a major action, Darbhanga Police of Bihar has arrested seven criminals of an organized inter-state gang associated with Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. All these accused were currently living like nomads with their families near Rambhadrapur railway station in Samastipur district. According to the police, this gang was carrying out incidents of theft and robbery in different districts of Bihar for a long time. Two pistols, live cartridges and looted jewelery and cash worth lakhs of rupees have been recovered from the accused.

Interstate gang busted in Darbhanga

According to Darbhanga Police, this gang is part of a gang from Uttar Pradesh which carries out theft and robbery at the national level. All the accused of this gang, which commits crimes in every district of Bihar, are said to be residents of Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Darbhanga Rural SP Alok said that the arrested criminals used to commit crimes in a very vicious manner and used to deposit the looted jewelery and cash in Kalyanpur area of Samastipur. The accused have admitted their involvement in dozens of cases, including theft of Rs 13 lakh in a jewelery shop located at Kiratpur Chowk in Jamalpur police station area.

Incidents in every district of Bihar were hidden in Samastipur.

Darbhanga Rural SP Shri Alok said that police investigation has revealed that this gang used to commit crimes in a very vicious manner. The accused used to go to some district and do recce for several days, after which, getting the opportunity, they used to commit incidents of theft and robbery and abscond from there. The gang’s network was spread in almost every district of Bihar, while information about crimes committed by them has come to light in other states also. The police are currently connecting the links of the entire network and the search is on for the members of this gang spread in other states.

Jewelery worth Rs 13 lakh was stolen by UP gang itself.

According to Darbhanga Police, the valuable jewelery and cash looted by the gang from different districts was kept in a house in Kalyanpur in Samastipur district. During the raid there, a person was arrested, from whom a weapon was also recovered. Later the entire network was exposed. The seven criminals arrested during interrogation have admitted their involvement in dozens of incidents of theft and robbery recorded in Darbhanga district. In particular, the same criminals are being said to be involved in the theft of around Rs 13 lakh in a jewelery shop located at Kiratpur Chowk in Jamalpur police station area last night.

Police caught 7 who were living as nomads

Police said that after the Kiratpur incident, when all the accused were absconding, the villagers showed alertness in Dohatha village of Ghanshyampur police station area and caught everyone with the help of the police. During this operation, apart from the looted jewellery, cash, the police also recovered two pistols and live cartridges. Police officials say that this gang was completely organized and had been carrying out criminal incidents in Bihar and other states for a long time.
